Your mind keeps moving from one concern to the next, making it difficult to switch off, concentrate or feel at ease.

Calmer thinking, steadier feelings
Anxiety is one of the most common issues people come to see me about, and I have seen some wonderful changes.
You might recognise this
A mind that won't switch off, long after the day is done.
Tension in the body that arrives before the thought does.
Avoiding situations that once felt entirely manageable.
I always reassure people that there is nothing wrong with them. Your body, mind and nervous system are doing exactly what they are designed to do: protect you.
Hypnotherapy may help you understand and change the automatic thoughts, feelings and responses that keep worry, fear or tension going.
Your hypnotherapist
Qualified clinical hypnotherapist, working with adults in person in Moraira and online. Dip.Hyp. I.S.C.H. APHP.
If worry, tension or avoidance is making your world feel smaller, you don't have to keep managing it alone: tell me what's happening and we can explore whether hypnotherapy could help you feel calmer and more in control.
When worry takes over
Anxiety is different for everyone. It may feel like a constant background hum of worry, a mind that won't switch off, tension in your body or sudden waves of fear. It can disturb sleep, make decisions harder and lead you to avoid situations that once felt manageable.
Sometimes there is an obvious trigger. Sometimes the response seems much bigger than the situation in front of you, or continues after the original difficulty has passed.
You don't need to diagnose yourself or arrive with a perfect explanation. We can begin with what is happening in your life now and what you would like to feel able to do differently.
Working below the surface
Conscious thinking is only one part of anxiety. You may know that a situation is safe and still feel your body tense, your thoughts race or an urge to escape. These automatic reactions are where hypnotherapy can be particularly helpful.
Hypnosis gives us a calm, focused way to work with the associations, expectations and responses that have become linked with anxiety. The work is personal to you rather than a standard script.
Depending on what is happening for you, our work may focus on helping you:
The aim is not to pretend that difficult feelings never happen. It is to help you feel less controlled by anxiety and more able to choose your response.
An individual experience
Your mind keeps moving from one concern to the next, making it difficult to switch off, concentrate or feel at ease.
Fear of judgement or embarrassment makes conversations, gatherings or unfamiliar situations feel exhausting or threatening.
Intense waves of fear and physical sensations can arrive quickly and feel overwhelming, even when there is no obvious danger.
A particular place, creature, activity or experience produces a strong automatic reaction that restricts what you feel able to do.
Anxiety, self-doubt or a mental block gets in the way of work, examinations, public speaking, sport or creative performance.
Your story, your pace
We begin with a conversation. Tell me your story in your own way. You don't need to arrive with everything neatly explained, and you won't be expected to disclose anything you don't want to discuss.
I will explain everything about hypnotherapy and you can ask me any questions you like. During hypnosis you remain aware and in control. We agree what we are working towards, and the session is shaped around you.
If you would like to understand the process first, you can read more about what hypnotherapy is and what hypnosis feels like.
I work with adults in person in Moraira and through online hypnotherapy. There is no fixed course. After the first session, we talk about how it went and what, if anything, feels right for you next.
A client's experience

A personal decision
Hypnotherapy may be worth exploring if anxiety, worry or fear is affecting your daily life and you would like to change the way you respond. You might be looking for a different approach, or something that can sit alongside support you already receive.
There is no online checklist that can decide whether it is right for you. Suitability is something we discuss together, taking your individual circumstances into account. The first conversation is free and there is no obligation to book a session.
Your wellbeing comes first
Hypnotherapy can complement appropriate medical or mental health care, but it isn't a substitute for professional assessment or treatment.
If you are struggling to cope or are concerned about changes in your mood, thinking or daily life, please speak to a doctor or qualified mental health professional. You can also read Your wellbeing matters for further guidance about professional support, working alongside other care and prescribed medication.
Free and no obligation
Tell me your story. I will explain everything about hypnotherapy and you can ask me any questions you like. We can then explore whether it feels like the right next step for you.
