Stop smoking forever

Hypnotherapy to quit smoking or vaping

Smoking and vaping can become woven into routines, emotions and identity. Hypnotherapy may help you strengthen a decision to stop and respond differently to familiar triggers.

You might recognise this

You reach for a cigarette or vape before consciously deciding to.

Particular drinks, places, people or feelings trigger the routine.

You want to stop but worry about cravings, stress or what will replace it.

A learned habit is not your identity.

Nicotine dependence and familiar routines can make stopping difficult. That does not mean you lack commitment or willpower.

Hypnotherapy may support motivation and behavioural change. Medical stop-smoking support and licensed treatments may also be appropriate.

If cigarettes or vaping keep pulling you back through cravings, triggers and familiar routines, you don't have to rely on willpower alone: tell me what makes stopping difficult and we can explore whether hypnotherapy could support your decision to stop.

A fresh start

Come with the conviction that you’re done with it.

If you have come to this page because you’re fed up with the health worries, the smell and inconvenience, the wasted money and your family worrying about you, this is the place to find help to achieve what you might have thought impossible.

A clear personal decision to stop is a helpful starting point. Hypnotherapy may support that decision by helping you prepare for familiar triggers, routines and concerns, but it cannot guarantee a particular result or remove the need for your active involvement.

Why hypnotherapy?

Work with the automatic pattern, not only the conscious intention.

Smoking and vaping involve learned routines and associations. Like driving a familiar route, they can begin before you have consciously decided to act.

For many people, smoking becomes linked with stress, relaxation, breaks or socialising. Hypnotherapy helps you notice those connections and rehearse healthier ways to respond.

The benefits

Support for the concerns that can make quitting feel difficult.

Less reliance on willpower

It’s not about forcing yourself to quit. Hypnosis changes the subconscious patterns by which you have automatically smoked without thinking about it.

Cravings under control

Your thoughts create physical sensations in your body, just as physical sensations give you thoughts. Hypnosis helps to change these patterns and gives the part of you that wanted to smoke healthier options.

Sustainable results

We'll go over your reasons for wanting to make this change, which may include your health, the people you love and the life you want to enjoy.

No substitute needed

Weight gain is often a concern. In hypnosis, your subconscious mind receives suggestions about feeling calm and healthy, with no need for another substitute.

An optional medical route

Hypnotherapy together with Todacitan®.

Todacitan® is medication prescribed by doctors in the national health service in Spain to stop smoking. As a hypnotherapist, I don’t offer advice on whether or not to take it, although I can work with you if you decide to do so.

This is a personal choice to make together with your healthcare provider. I am neither for, nor against, its use.

Your own decision matters

You need to want the change for yourself.

Hypnotherapy isn't a guarantee, and no responsible practitioner can promise that everyone will stop after one session. Your motivation, circumstances and willingness to take part all matter.

The strongest starting point is your own decision to stop. If a loved one is pressuring you but you aren't sure, we can have an honest conversation before you book a stop-smoking session.

That conversation can help you decide whether now is the right time and what kind of support may suit you.

One personalised session

What happens during hypnotherapy?

There are two parts to a hypnotherapy session for smoking cessation. Just one session is required and it takes about two hours. There are two parts to your mind, the conscious mind and the subconscious mind, and both need to work together to achieve what you wish to achieve.

Part one: your conscious reasons

We'll look at the reasons why you want to quit. These may include those you love and who love you, your health and fitness, and the activities you want to enjoy.

We'll reframe the way you think about smoking, imagining benefits such as breathing more easily, having more energy and feeling proud of taking control. We’ll also address your associations with smoking so that you can replace them with healthier, more positive choices.

Part two: hypnosis

You are very much aware and in control, and it is always your choice to go into hypnosis. We quieten the busy thinking mind so that the subconscious suggestions reinforce everything we have discussed and the positive change you wish to make.

For some people, they just can’t believe how easy it was. They simply get on with their life and never want a cigarette again. I want this for every client with all of my heart, and I make every session completely personalised to make it as easy as possible for each unique person.
