The ShapeShift Hypnosis programme
Hypnotherapy for weight loss
If eating patterns or weight concerns are taking up too much emotional space, hypnotherapy may help you explore habits and choices without shame or unrealistic promises.

You might recognise this
Eating sometimes happens automatically rather than from physical hunger.
All-or-nothing plans are followed by guilt and another restart.
Critical thoughts about your body make supportive choices harder.
Your worth is not measured by a number.
Weight is influenced by health, medication, hormones, sleep, circumstances, eating patterns and many other factors. It is not a simple test of discipline.
Hypnotherapy may support habits, motivation and a kinder relationship with food.

If eating feels automatic and each new plan ends in guilt or another restart, you don't have to fight your body or rely on willpower alone: tell me what is happening and we can explore whether hypnotherapy could support kinder, more sustainable change.
Beyond diets
Understand what has been keeping the pattern in place.
This isn't another strict diet. We look at the triggers, cravings, habits, beliefs and emotions that influence how you eat and how you feel about your body.
The aim is to help you make healthier choices with less inner conflict. Results are individual, and lasting change still depends on your health, circumstances and the actions you take between sessions.
The programme begins with one personalised hypnotherapy session each week for four weeks, followed by monthly accountability and motivation while that remains useful to you.
Making friends with your appetite
Your story and a realistic direction.
We begin by getting to know one another. I'll ask about your life, health, routines and what you would like to change. The conversation often helps people notice connections they hadn't seen before.
Together, we create a realistic direction and choose useful milestones. A birthday, holiday or celebration can provide focus, but the plan should still fit your everyday life.
I'll offer encouragement and accountability without judgement.
Simple, practical choices
I don't prescribe diets or replace advice from a doctor or registered dietitian. We can explore food choices and movement in a simple, practical way, always taking account of your health and physical capability.
Your first task may be as straightforward as noticing what you eat, when you eat and what is happening emotionally at the time.
Guided hypnosis for positive change
Work with cravings and strengthen your direction.
Once we understand your story and direction, I'll guide you into hypnosis.
We may use a simple technique to help you pause when a craving appears and make a more conscious choice. The aim isn't to promise that you will never want a particular food again.
I'll explain hypnosis before we begin. You remain aware and in control, and choosing to take part is always up to you.
While you are relaxed and focused, we can rehearse useful choices, imagine milestones and prepare for situations that might otherwise knock you off course. Every suggestion is agreed with you and must fit your values and goals.
Hunger, cravings and emotional eating
Emotional eating, limiting beliefs and taming your appetite.
This week, we look at what hunger actually is and some important points about the anatomy of your body.
Eating can become automatic, and it may be difficult to notice hunger, fullness or the feelings surrounding a choice. In hypnosis, we can practise pausing, noticing those cues and responding in a way that fits the realistic direction you have chosen.
We also address the emotional reasons and beliefs behind unhealthy eating. These vary greatly for each person.
- Grief
- Trauma
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Loneliness
- Boredom
- Low self-esteem
- Guilt
- Shame
- Anger
- Frustration
- Burnout
- Fear
- Hormonal imbalance, such as cortisol spikes from chronic stress
- Lack of sleep
- Relationship issues
- Work pressure
- Financial worries
- Unresolved emotional pain
Grief, stress, poor sleep, anxiety, low mood and difficult experiences can all affect eating patterns. We can explore what is relevant to you without assuming a single cause or promising that one session will resolve it.
Change the story
Question the beliefs that keep you stuck.
Repeated thoughts can begin to feel like facts. We can notice and question beliefs such as:
- I'll never be able to change my weight.
- I don't have enough willpower.
- I don't have time to look after myself.
- I've tried everything and nothing works.
- I'm too old or too busy to change.
- I'll only regain the weight anyway.
These aren't permanent truths. Looking at them honestly can create room for more useful choices.
Your wellbeing comes first
Weight and eating concerns sometimes need specialist support.
Hypnotherapy is a complementary approach. It does not replace medical or mental health assessment, diagnosis or treatment. Please continue any prescribed medication unless the professional who prescribed it advises you otherwise.
